Life application - Day 14 Lent 2011
This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24, NLT Bible
My dear friends,
Many a time have our days ended with something very bad. It may be our blue mood, our out-of-hand situation or our overwhelming guilt or sorrow .
What would we do in such situations ?
One way I can share with you here is that we can relate to the writers of the psalms who often felt this way. We don't know how sad the psalmists got; however, clearly in these two verses, they honestly expressed their feelings to God. Finally, their prayers ended in praise.
Likewise, when we don't feel happy or rejoiced , just spend some quiet time with God, telling Him how sad we are or how we truly feel. Surely, we will be comforted and then given a reason to rejoice just because God has given us this day to live and to serve Him and others - BE GLAD !
